RLH were appointed in October 2025 to prepare a planning application for 23 new build houses for social rent to the local community. The brief is to develop the site to assist in meeting housing needs in the County of Denbighshire
The site is located within a highly sustainable location, close to the amenities of the town centre. Rhyl has a number of supermarkets, a retail park, swimming and sports facilities including a football club, library, theatre, dentists, and doctors’ surgeries, along with seafront attractions. The site is located on Churton Road, which is a main road into the town centre and 0.7 miles from the train and bus station.
The brief was to provide a mix of units that reflects the local housing need & all homes are to be designed and built using a fabric-first approach (please see target U-value requirements within the specification document) along with expected air tightness levels. Welsh Government requires an EPC A rating for all new homes.
The scheme is currently in the planning system with an expected start on site of Spring 2027.
