ALTERATIONS & EXTENSIONS

Glan Yr Afon, Crosswell, Crymych

This 18th century stone cottage is nestled in the very heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and is typical of the vernacular of the period and the area its located in. So when we were approached by our clients with a ‘bold’ brief to renovate and extend this historic building, we understood from day one that the challenge of producing a scheme that would firstly be acceptable to our clients but in some ways more importantly could be supported by the National Park, was a big one!

After much pre-consultation with both our clients and the Parks Authority, we believe that the scheme we have gained planning permission, whilst being sympathetic to its origins, makes the very most of the available space, orientation and dramatic views on offer to provide a beautiful, modern and well lit space, drawing in the garden and surrounding countryside in through the large areas of glazing and thus creating the ultimate inside and outside experience!
