Former Popeswood Garage, Binfield

This development of eleven semi detached houses in Binfield, nr Bracknell has been designed to meet The Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3. The developers have a very definite desire to use energy efficient gas boilers to run the site, hence a ‘fabric first’ approach was taken. In simple terms this means making the dwellings as thermally efficient as possible by the use of high levels of insulation and ensuring that all the potential thermal bridges within the build are addressed, to make the buildings as air tight as possible thus reducing heat loss around opening/junctions etc.
